Connection Setup

This short guide will cover what is needed to play on our realms:

YOU MUST REGISTER ON THE FORUMS AND PM ME (kalans) IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE YOUR FORUM AND REALM ACCOUNT!


Step 1:


  • You must have Diablo II installed, can be any patch.

*If you are unsure what patch you are running, open Diablo II and look in the lower left and you should see the patch you are running. This can be many things, and if you have installed a different mod it may say something different as well.


Reverting Back To 1.09D

This guide is if you are running a patch later than 1.09D

Step 1:

  • Extract both downloaded files
  • Move all Reverter files into your Diablo 2 folder allowing to overwrite.

Step 3:


  • Copy Diablo II and Diablo II Region Launcher into your Diablo II folder, allowing to overwrite.

Step 4:


  • Diablo II Region Launcher requires .Net 4.0+ Framework in order to work, .Net is very common and used with various different programs and can be found here.
  • Have .Net: Run Diablo II Region Launcher, give it a moment to load. This launcher will download the newest D2Region Patch and overwrite the one in your Diablo 2 folder.
  • Don't Have .Net: Download the latest patch here, place into Diablo II folder allowing to overwrite.

Step 5:


  • From here you are able to Run Diablo II, I suggest running in window mode.


Clean Install To 1.09D

This guide is if you are running a patch below that of 1.09D

Step 1:


  • Download the patch for 1.09D here.

Step 2:


  • Run the downloaded file completely, allowing to install.

Step 3:

  • Copy Diablo II and Diablo II Region Launcher into your Diablo II folder, allowing to overwrite.

Step 5:


  • Diablo II Region Launcher requires .Net 4.0+ Framework in order to work, .Net is very common and used with various different programs and can be found here.
  • Have .Net: Run Diablo II Region Launcher, give it a moment to load. This launcher will download the newest D2Region Patch and overwrite the one in your Diablo 2 folder.

1.09 Already Installed

This guide is if you are running the 1.09D patch already

Step 1:

Realm Configuration

This is how you set up the connection for the D2Region Realm

Step 1:


  • You can either follow the steps below OR use the registry file found here, if so after you download and extract the zip just simply run the registry file and allow access.

Step 2:


  • Download the gateway editor here.
  • Extract to a folder.

Step 3:


  • Run the Gateway Editor, and select the Diablo2/Diablo2Exp tab at the bottom.
  • Click Add Gateway.

  • Add the realm information and click OK:
  • Name: D2Region
  • Zone: 0
  • IP: d2region.no-ip.org

  • Select added realm "D2Region" and click Set to Chosen Gateway, lastly click "X" and close.
